Wecome Foxy
Poor old Debbie with her broken leg.... so fox is at my house to get fit and competing, Debbie is wishing to sell him so im going to do my best to find him a super home! Look out for his ad and pass on his info to all you think would suit. Sadly Luca (my eventer) has been offered for sale and we have had a young rider try him out and is keen to have another ride. Sounds like a perfect home so fingers crossed.
Bye Bye Bella....
Wishing Carol Miller all the best with Yearling Filly Mustangs Bella Luna, this was a sad sale but glad we found such a wonderful home for her. Good luck and Look forward to seeing her out and about!
My Baby!!
Boxing day welcomed the arrival of Portias (Splash's) foal LEXY.... Born 10am after waxing up for 4 days and having me sit up for 4 nights, the little filly was born under the watchful eye of my Grandad while I was off having Breaky and feeling very very tired. Sire: Mustang Sammy. We are just stoked with her and love her markings!! All the family and kids have been to visit =)

Portias Baby belly... and macks jumping efforts.
Took the camera with me when I went to check and shift my little preggy mare today. Cant even tell if she has a belly - looks totally normal, very happy and now on broody mix (she thinks this is fantastic).... Her paddock mate is great, ex race winner and broody now retired - 26years old, they do everything together. Grannys love having them and Grandad seems worried im going to take her home. He has foaled many mares and likes to share his years of wisdom.
Mack - had another jump schooling session, another lovely day! Adrian, thanks heaps for your photo efforts but doesnt compare to our main man Chris LOL... Still very green and had some hairy moments! Needs some XC schooling or solid fence training but gosh I have to say this boy is honest as they come and tries so hard - Heart of Gold Never ever thought of stopping or doing anything other than jumping. Give me a few more weeks and see how we are going.

SJ training day...
YAY It went well really, I headed up to Inglewood to the progressive jumping day. Was a tad worried, no mates, not knowning where to go! Just took luca and he behaved, jumped the 90cm, 1m and another round which was probably a true meter =) Noticed a few faces, mainly ponyclubbers! Would love to go next weekend but have dressage, would have been perfect for Mack and Astra. Made a few contacts, so sorted for lessons now!! Really looking forward to getting some help, much needed. Rain Rain Rain, but balanced work, horses and time out today - had time to play with mack and loading alone in the float. Mack was fine with food and a push from Chris, did it a few times, non stressed just gentle encouragement and the other two were hooning round, well mainly Astra as she didnt get to go on HER float today and was VERY MAD... Cute Mare not. Really excited about blyth clinic, not so about Dressage next sunday. Must be done tho, need to work on luca and go to saddlery to get CALMER>>>> oh how he needs HIGHER for jumping and CALMER for dressage, how will i get through this eventing season... enough crap off to bed - no pics sorry - no mates or support today he he he

Show pony mack!
Anyone after a show pony, Mack wants to be one! PARK HACK in the making.... Have been trying to keep up with his schooling. Hopefully hes looking better and fatter!! Heres the lastest MACK pics!! He seems to enjoy attention, loves been pampered, clipped, rugged, brushed! Jumping was fun for him, something different, BOLD - but needs a few more schooling days and a bit of fun with grids =) Im sure there is a fantastic showie and competition mount hiding within this hairy legged cheeky pony!
Yay pull the jumps out its sunny!
Well im half way through painting my rails and Im still waiting on 4 jumps stands but decided to pull out and pop up whats ready and make the most of the sun! Firstly teaching Mack about jumps, which he decided was fun and nothing was scary! The to give luca a good jump since he has been boucing off the walls since coming home from his XC training weekend at Taupo - which was a total blast, thanks Debs im now craving Burger fuel and Hot pools! Cant wait til Sept when we get to go again! Luca was more scared of the flash new road closed (not stolen) jump than one would believe but as soon as I asked him to jump it he flew it and got over the fact it was something new to his jumps collection. Saddle fittings now sorted and I now own a Prestige for Astra and Lucas just had some pads popped in, money well spent! I got them both Thermal images which was really awesome, found Kylee really good. Lets hope the sunny days keep up! Happy riding!

More Mack!

Macks starting to be a pain so must be feeling good... decided today he loved Astra so spent some time in the pen alone!! Was good for the farrier's first visit and settled well, we managed to fill up the sawdust in the yards (with tractor) while he stood and watched. Chris thought he had put on weight today, first time he had made a comment so took a few pics.. It was
a bit late in the day and they not the best as had just ridden him. Im trying to ride just lightly when I have time as soon as calving is in full swing the horses will miss out. Still havent decided on a show name... or what he will do this season =) Pic of butt on arrival and today...

Mack
Mack arrived on the 20th of June. A very sad looking TB 3yo, Sire: City on the Hill. Broken in but minimal ridden work, 15.1hh and hopefully growing.
Aim: To get looking like a posh pony!!!
During the last few days I have managed to pop on Mack and take him for a ride, he is a real sweetie. Plan is to keep pumping the food into him and then start some lunging. I didnt plan on having another horse on the farm so early in the season but im lucky to have a grassy hill paddock not suitable for cows which is a short distance from the house. I go down twice a day and hard feed him, take him hay and change his rugs. Cant wait til after calving so I can spend some summer hours with him.
