Kids and Mack...
School holiday has been really good for Mack, the kids just adore him spending hours brushing and hand feeding, perfect as he loves the attention and needs it!!! Couldnt help take a few shots... Decided to clip him as he is so so so hairy and is quite scabby so might help... Kids are pretty keen to go for a ride so those will be some interesting pictures. His feet look tidy all trimmed up and Im keen to get his mane and tail pulled today =)

More Mack!

Macks starting to be a pain so must be feeling good... decided today he loved Astra so spent some time in the pen alone!! Was good for the farrier's first visit and settled well, we managed to fill up the sawdust in the yards (with tractor) while he stood and watched. Chris thought he had put on weight today, first time he had made a comment so took a few pics.. It was
a bit late in the day and they not the best as had just ridden him. Im trying to ride just lightly when I have time as soon as calving is in full swing the horses will miss out. Still havent decided on a show name... or what he will do this season =) Pic of butt on arrival and today...

Mack
Mack arrived on the 20th of June. A very sad looking TB 3yo, Sire: City on the Hill. Broken in but minimal ridden work, 15.1hh and hopefully growing.
Aim: To get looking like a posh pony!!!
During the last few days I have managed to pop on Mack and take him for a ride, he is a real sweetie. Plan is to keep pumping the food into him and then start some lunging. I didnt plan on having another horse on the farm so early in the season but im lucky to have a grassy hill paddock not suitable for cows which is a short distance from the house. I go down twice a day and hard feed him, take him hay and change his rugs. Cant wait til after calving so I can spend some summer hours with him.
